There are two reasons to promote a local marque for the town of Samugheo and its textile products: to honour the prestigious and deep-rooted cultural heritage which Sardinians justly and stubbornly seek to preserve, and as a sign of respect to consumers who wish to base their relations with the market on clear-cut regulations.

This is the spirit in which Samugheo has decided to give an identity to its textile production by creating a local marque of quality. In this way, the town's many companies can lend further visibility to their typical products which are already well-known to lovers of textile craft, while, at the same time, offering a guarantee of the real value and quality of the products, elements to which consumers are becoming increasingly sensitive. Furthermore, the initiative will establish a watershed between those whose work is honestly based on craftsmanship and the respect of traditions, and others who exploit the lack of clear regulations with low quality products.

We hope that the enthusiasm that Samugheo is investing in this initiative will also be fully appreciated by those whom the craftsmen have in mind when they create their richly finished products.
